Whose data matters? Answering this question has driven Jen’s career as she focused on reproductive health and human rights for refugee and internally displaced people, violence against women and children, and now workers in the global supply chain. 

Prior to joining &Wider, Jen lived and worked in the U.S., Sierra Leone, Guinea, Liberia, Kenya, South Sudan, Uganda, Sri Lanka, and Iraq with humanitarian relief NGOs, multilateral institutions, and sexual and domestic violence service organisations. Her work focused on developing and managing programmes, fundraising, and operations.

In her capacity as Director of People and Systems, Jen gets to focus on creating conditions that ensure every person on our team does their best, most impactful work. What excites her about this work is the collaborative nature of working toward better visibility and impact internally so that we can collectively pursue our mission in the world. 

Jen holds degrees from the University of California, Los Angeles and Columbia University in international development, global public health, and international affairs. In quiet moments, she loves a good book, to work through complex recipes, and to explore the woods. She lives in North Vancouver, BC, with her husband, daughter and slightly anxious dog.
