A corporate lawyer, Susie realised she wanted a career where she spent every day focusing on work that truly matters to her and makes a meaningful difference in the world. That decision led her into sustainability, social impact and human rights-focused work, where she has spent the last decade helping organisations connect business purpose with positive social change.

Her work has centred around social mobility and creating meaningful connections between business and impact. Whether supporting young people into education and employment, shaping corporate sustainability strategy, or helping organisations communicate their impact authentically, building momentum for change, Susie believes in the power of people-first leadership and storytelling to inspire action.

As Head of Impact Strategy and Delivery, Susie brings a unique combination of strategic thinking, empathy and relationship-building. She listens carefully to truly hear what clients, partners and communities need, helping to build trusted, long-term relationships grounded in collaboration and delivery.

Before joining &Wider, Susie headed up Social Investment and co-led Corporate Sustainability for an international bank and asset manager, Investec, where she developed and led award-winning community programmes focused on youth empowerment, entrepreneurship and social mobility. She later built a portfolio career spanning ESG consulting, impact communications and corporate partnerships for charities, B Corps and social enterprises. She led communications for The Diversity Trust for four years and now serves as a Non-Executive Director for the Social Enterprise, which works at influencing social change to create a fairer and safer society.

Born and raised in Johannesburg, South Africa, Susie holds degrees in Law and Psychology from the University of Cape Town and is continuing her Psychology studies in England, driven by a belief in lifelong learning and a curiosity about human behaviour, resilience and connection.

Her daughter and son are her world. Susie works every day to give them the best life she can, while advocating for those less fortunate.
